whats going wrong
I don't get it.I have all the characters except rosalina.I have a star rank in all the cups except the special cup and I can't get it.I've done it like 5 times and always get 1st,1st,1st,1st and I barely ever fall and I stay in 1st most of the time.I should have a star rank,because if I need to do something else can someone tell me?
Ok this is a different question,i have all double star ranks and about 6 triple star ranks and if I get a double star rank on the special cup someone told me when I'm playing online I get a double star rank by my name is that true?

Borrow Mario Galaxy from Blockbuster, make a file. Then when you turn Mario Kart on, she comes out of no where!!

Yes, if you have double star rankings or above on all your Grand Prix races, you get the double star symbol next to your name.
The only think I can think of that you didn't mention in your question would be bumping into walls... Touching the wall too many times can stop you from getting a star ranking. Good luck, and I hope I helped.

Just borrow mario galaxy from a friend or rental store and make a game file, simple right? I bet it would. Yes you can get stars next to your name only if you have a star ranking for each cup and each division. To get another star for your cup ranking you have to try not to get hit or bump and that should improve your star ranking and gain another star next to your name online. I hoped this helped.

There's an easier way to unlock her. Borrow Super Mario Galaxy from a friend or rent it from blockbuster and play a little. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE GAME!!! (SMG). Then play again mario kart wii and after some races you'll unlock her. Hope this helps!

And yes, if you get a two star rank (eg), you'll have two stars next to your name on wi-fi races. Hope this helps!

To unlock Rosalina, you need to either:
Have a Super Mario Galaxy save file & have played 50 VS races.
Have a 1-star ranking on all Mirror Mode Retro Cups.
