To get stars next to your name you have to get one star or hiegher on every cup

I think you have to continusly get star rankings in grand prix races.

To get any star next to your name, get a star ranking for each cup on each speed/engine. That means 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, and Mirror 150cc.
1 star for each cup -- 1 star next to name
2 stars for each cup -- 2 stars next to name
3 stars for each cup -- 3 stars next to name

Well this question is always asked. Ok lets answer again, ok to get a star next to your name you must do every cup and division with a star rank. For each star you get for each and division you get next to your name while racing online. I hoped this helped.

You have to get at least a star in EVERY cup for having a star on your name when playing online, two stars for a two-star name and three stars for a three-star name. Hope this helps!

Get at least a star ranking for all grand prix cups in 50 CC, 100 CC, 150 CC, and even Mirror Mode.
