When I turn the game off then back on my kids are listed as "none area name" what does that mean

Go the official Harvest Moon wiki, and search "missing child clitch" in the search box. There is a page dedicated to that clitch and even a section on how to fix it... Hope I helped!!! And sorry if your case is unfixable... :(
