Basically I'm stuck on chapter 3 when you get o the bridge & have to fight these flying bird type monsters & the only apparent way to kill them is by using my super moves but that only kills the 1st 1 then 2 moe appear which start pecking at the rope on the ropebridge & you susquentilly fall of & have to restart. Please help.

You need to remember that the colour of the enemy's crosshairs:
Red = need to use the shield
Yellow/Orange = can use your sword to hit it, but it will just fall to the floor without doing any damage
Blue = if hit at the right time with your sword will deflect it back at the enemy
The bird-like enemies shoot fieballs which have a blue crosshair, therefore you need to hit them at the right time to damage them with their own attack.
Basically, you need to redirect their attacks. When they start to cast magic, a blue circle on the screen appears. Press "A" on the blue circle to lock on to it and slash your sword when the magic attack gets near you. If you time it right, the blast redirects to them and will hit them. If you time it wrong, you will either get hit by the attack or the blast redirects off to somewhere else. As for the next two that appears, you may want to use a master strike on them. They get annoying and can cause you some trouble. Hope this helps. ;D
Buy a kitty sword from cat. Pay with stars in cat cave. It will look like kitty arm sword very good to use in this part of the game. I had a problem in this part of the game also. But this kitty sword have 4 swords not 1. You pass this part very easy.
