Question for Animal Crossing: City Folk

Can someone please help me? Every time I try to get a friend code, Booker says "Sorry, I cannot access the internet." What does that mean? Please answer this question!

It means you need to check your wii connection settings from the main wii screen and make sure you're either able to connect (via successfully TESTING your connection) through wireless or wired internet.

Try testing your internet connection in the Wii settings. Also check to see whether your router is having trouble connecting to the internet also. If the router is broken, you wont be able to get on the internet at all.
