I am trying to play the same with another person and I had already set up the game so when the other person trys to play they can't start their job and they have introduced themselves to everyone in the city a few times, what else are we supposed to do?

I would go to your house and then come right back out and tom nook should be there when you come out of your house. If that deosn't work then start a new game. I hope this helps!!
