To get stuff for your mii in the mii plaza make as many miis as possible,fill up the mii parade,hold A and B and down on the d pad for 15 seconds(count slow) then you will have a new channel called the mii cash channel and you can buy stuff for them there. You will start with $10 mii cash.(get tokens by finishing games)
