Below is a list of animals.

Red Meerkat: The meerkat you play as.

Meerkat: These meerkats help you with your work. They can be assigned to different jobs such as digging burrows or babysitting puppies. A max of 9 meerkats can follow you at one time. You can have up to 40 meerkats in your pack.

Meerkat Puppy: Meerkat puppies appear outside your den after the meter at the top left corner of the screen reaches 100%. They cannot do jobs, and need to be babysitted.

Black Meerkat: These meerkats are aggressive and may attack you if you cross into their territory.

Caterpillar: These are green and slow. They need only one meerkat to be carried and may be hunted as a food source.

Beetle: Green like caterpillars. They are only slightly faster. They need only one meerkat to be carried and may be hunted as a food source.

Tarantula: Black and as fast as beetles. They need two meerkats to be carried and may be hunted as a food source.

Lizard: Faster than a beetle. They need two meerkats to be carried and can be hunted as a food source.

Snake: As fast as a Lizard. Need two meerkats to be carried. Can be hunted.

Tortoise: Cannot be hunted, killed, or eaten. These can be ridden on by a meerkat and will stop moving when the meerkat jumps off.

Hawk: Large with brown and white feathers. They will swoop down unexpectedly and attempt to catch a meerkat. They can be spotted while flying by their large shadows. After being killed, these may need to be carried by four meerkats to be used as a food source.

Jackal: Dogs. Brown, black, and white dogs, to be exact. These are fast, but not as fast as a hawk or cobra. They do not fly (obviously, because dogs don't have wings.) but can howl loudly before spotting a meerkat. Like the hawk, these can be eaten when four meerkats carry one to a den.

Monitor Lizard: Big, giant, green, lizards. These are slow but dangerous. You can hear them hiss even while they're off screen, but they can still hurt you. Can be eaten.

Cobra: a type of snake, only with a hood. Their skills are almost exactly the same as the Monitor Lizard, but with one difference: they're faster.
