We Are The Caretakers Cheats, Tips, and Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include Why you should balance Stamina and Will attacks and how Reputation determines various affects during gameplay.

Recruit Enemies to get Powerful Characters

Skills can be accessed that would otherwise be unobtainable by reforming a poacher to fight their former competitors. This is because enemy classes can't be recruited from the normal pool of Caretaker applicants, which means the only way the only way to get several powerful character types is by convincing them to join your team. Keep in mind that your reputation will be affected whenever you reform a poacher. You can reform poachers by using a Diplomat's Finisher to convert them in the field, or by Detaining them then offering them a job back at base.

Perform Finishers on Enemies

When your character's Stamina or Will reaches Zero in We Are The Caretakers they will drop to their knees and remain on the battlefield. The only way they can be dismissed from further taking part in combat is if they are hit by a special move called a Finisher. Every character in the game has access to different Finishers and they will only become available combat options when their enemy is kneeling. Non-critical enemies can't be targeted with Finishers.

Balance Stamina and Will Attacks

Every character in We Are The Caretakers has two health bars. The red bar signifies the amount of health the character has while the blue bar represents their morale. Either can be reduced to zero to render an enemy vulnerable to a Finisher. It is important that you have a balance of Stamina and Will attacks on your team because most enemies will be much higher in one or the other.

Reputation

The amount of Reputation you have accumulated determines various effects during gameplay. Your Reputation will drop if you kill poachers without due process, flee from battle, and accept bribes. While your Reputation will increase if you arrest poachers and turn them over to local authorities. Although you will deal more damage in combat with low Reputation the downside is it also lowers the quality of new recruits and the amount of money contributed by towns. A high Reputation has the opposite effects.

Enemy Moves Are Always Visible

Every enemy will have an icon over their head at the start of each round. This icon indicates the move they are going to use in that round. If you hover over the icon you will be able to obtain more information about it and be able to plan accordingly. Knowing beforehand how your opponent intends to attack will give you an advantage in combat as you will be able to stun or eliminate an enemy before they are about to unleash a powerful attack.
