This is a Roblox horror game where you play either a survivor or a stalking killer. If you are playing as a survivor, your objective, aside from trying to stay alive, is to repair a set number of generators spread across large, varied maps that can be anything from a forest to a space station. Once those generators have been activated, you need to head to the exit gate to escape.
If you play the role of the killer your job is to make sure the survivors do not succeed in their task. You must hunt down and 'hook' survivors before they escape. Below are some tips that will help you in the game, whether you are playing a survivor or a killer.
The best strategy to activate the generators is for the survivors to spread out in order to cover more ground and reduce generator rushes. Target groups of 2-3 generators that are nearby to each other and try to complete them quickly before the killer reacts. The number of generators can differ so make sure you know exactly how many you have to deal with before you head for the exit.
Pallets are limited so only drop them when the killer is close enough to stun. After you have done so vault away keeping in mind you need to get the timing correct. If you vault too early you will give the killer an easy swing and if you vault too late you will be taken down.
Help heal injured teammates whenever it is safe to do so. Uninjured survivors are able to move faster and avoid the killer more easily. If the killer is camped nearby to a downed teammate only attempt to rescue them when they have been distracted and are no longer in the area.
Survivors have access to several useful weapons which you should look to take advantage of whenever possible. These items are listed below.
This emits a powerful light which will help you save teammates. Learn how to time your flash within the last second of a hook attempt.
The beeps from this device acts as an early-warning alert when the killer is near. Make sure you keep it on while disabling generators.
This can be used to evade the killer mid-chase or to reposition quickly after a rescue. Keep in mind that the killer can sometimes follow.
This weapon is a 50/50 stun tool. Only use when you are confident in your aiming or as a last resort when you need to escape.
Each map has hot spots for generators and hooks. If you know where they are, you can reach them quickly or plan safe routes to avoid them.
During the early game, you must put pressure on the survivors by continuously patrolling the generators. Target clusters of generators first so you interrupt multiple survivors at once. Save your speed boosts and teleports for when you are chasing survivors.
When chasing survivors, try to lead them towards dead ends or to where a hook is waiting for them. Remember that when you are in Rage or Speed mode, you can break pallets by walking into them. The stun, if timed right, needs to be dodged. Make sure you are aware of the hook count.
The survivors are equipped with several items that can hinder you. Watch for flashes, survivors flashing you on hooks are aiming to save. You can stop the animation by moving away to avoid the blind effect. Listen carefully for teleport audio cues, as this will indicate there is at least one survivor nearby.
Use stealth tactics when hunting down the survivors. Hide near hooks or generators to ambush survivors when they appear. Keep in mind that some killers become invisible when they are idle. An effective strategy is to chase one survivor towards a group of unfinished generators to create chaos and pressure the survivors into making errors.
When you play as a survivor, you are assigned tasks such as fixing generators that you must complete before you can escape from the map. For each winning round, you will be rewarded XP and money, which you can use to unlock new items to create a unique build for your character. These items are not equal, some are better than others.
