Urban Chaos: Riot Response is a great game. It has excellent story along with other countless features. It is better than your average first-person shooting game. It is almost like Halo, but with fewer weapons. But that is not a downside, for there is no Halo on PS2.
The graphics are one the most awesome things on this game. They go pretty deep into detail and animation. The weapons are quite detailed and so is everything else. It is like a real thing, and is in fact very close indeed. These graphics are probably the best out of all the games I have played.
The sound is very good, including threats form the enemy's, the comrades talking, and even the explosions and bullets. You're thinking, "Well in all games you can here the bullets." This is true, HOWEVER, is this game, you can here the bullets hitting the wall or wood. You can here a chainsaw hit anything, whether it be a fence, wood, or a wall. Same thing with bullets. It you hit metal, like a fire bell, it rings. If you hit the wall next to it, it does not. The graphics are suburb on this game.
The game play is good, with a good story to follow. Though it looks pretty simple, "Just destroy all the villains before they destroy you,". It's not. I'm not saying it's hard, but are plenty of little things you can miss, but need to collect. There are hidden masks for which you can earn medals for, as well as arresting gang leaders for extra missions. You can earn another medal by getting a certain number of head shots, and another for gang members arrested, not just the leader. All these medals unlock weapons and upgrades, such as riot grenades and armour. The higher the difficulty, the more medals you earn.
This game is good for a while, but I am sad to say that it's lastibilty is not very long. It will keep you going for a while, but you'll get bored of it after a while. After you leave, you'll come back, with little spurts here and there. If a level you couldn't beat is a problem, try. If you beat it, you'll want to keep going.
Overall, this game is worth the money. The graphics make up for he lastibility, while everything else make the game worthwhile. It is a challenging game, with good rewards in store. This game is not common, which kind of makes it special. I think this game could rival Halo, if it had a series...
