At the end of a battle, you'll earn EXP, Money, and Items. The items you can get will be randomly composed of consumables and Performa which also vary in rarity. EXP will count towards your characters' exp gauge to next level up. The Mastery gauge of the currently equipped weapon, also called as "Carnage" in the game will be filled depending on how much actions you've done in the battle while having it equipped.

When a character levels up, his/her HP, EP, and some of her stats will increase as well. Here are the stats that increase whenever your character levels up:

Guide Image

  • Str: Amount of damage the character deals with physical attacks
  • Mag: Amount of damage the character deals with magical attacks
  • Skill: Determines the character's hit rate and critical hit frequency
  • Spd: Affects the character's evasion rate. If the character's SPD stat is five points more than the target, this will allow the character to strike twice.
  • Def: Reduces the damage taken from physical attacks
  • Mag: Reduces the damage taken from magical attacks

Each character will also increase in Stage Rank. This is not affected by the exp points you gain or when your character levels up; in order to raise a character's stage rank, he/she should participate in more battles and also in longer session chains. Increasing a character's stage rank will give you a unique Performa, which in turn can be used to unlock new Radiant Unity skills. Radiant skills are passive and won't take up skill slots. Their effects can be used manually in the overworld or take effect in or out the battle.
