Starter Packs

Look to purchase starter packs from the in-app store as soon as you have played long enough to earn the required amount of gems. Starter packs are worth getting early in the game as they allow you to advance quickly.

Balanced Team

Make sure your team of Timenauts is balanced and has the right mix of characters, this means ensuring you have one hero from each class (Balance, Tank, Damage and Runner). The other Timenaut you select will depend on your playing style.

Upgrade Heroes

It is important that you upgrade your heroes regardless of their level or evolution state whenever possible so they are as powerful as possible at all times. Each hero has up to 30 different upgrades, don't hesitate using your coins to unlock them if you have all the treasures ready for a locked upgrade. Remember that alothough upgrading your heroes will improve their stats and movement speed it will also decrease their deploy cool down. The more energy it costs to deploy a hero in battle, the stronger it is.

Vessels

It is not just the Timenauts you upgrade, you also need to ensure you regularly level up your vessels. Leveling up your vessels will increase their hit points and make their skills more powerful. In some levels upgrading your vessels will also increase the energy cap you start with.

Quests

You can earn gems, coins, and XP by completing the daily and weekly quests. Don't leave quests incomplete or rewards uncollected because doing so will mean you will lose all your progress and any rewards when the quests reset.

Arena

Fighting in the battle arena in Arena mode is a good way to earn decent rewards. The higher you climb in the rankings in the arena leaderboard the more tokens you will earn. Tokens can be redeemed in exchange for hero DNA or power ups. Even if you get defeated in the battle arena you will still earn some points for the leaderboard.

Spells

Always pack your spells as they become essential when you have a good winning streak in the Arena which you don't want to lose. Remember that any spells you have equipped will not get used up unless they are consumed in battle.

Overdrive

Equipping the Overdrive ability and deploying it as soon as the battle starts will more than likely give you an instant win as it will overpower your opponent so much they will not have a chance to recover and fight back.

Wind and Lightning

A good tactic when you are confronted by a horde of enemies you think you will not be able to defeat us to combine Wind and Lightning. Use the Wind to push the enemy all together in front of their vessel and then use Lightning. What makes this attack effective is that the lightning does area damage where it lands, so regardless of what enemy receives the bolt they will all receive damage because they are close together.
