Those Who Remain Tips
Motel
- Room 2 Key
When you arrive at the motel go to room 2. You will find a key if you interact with the rug on the floor that will enable you to enter the room.
- Generator
At the scene where the street light starts to pop you will find a generator you can activate behind the car to the left of the road.
- Garage key
You can find the garage key by entering the barn and opening the top drawer of the dresser.
- Fuse
You can find the fuse near the right garage door. It is underneath the grey box.
Gas Station
- Gas Station Key
Interact with the mailbox to find the key.
Diner
- Roof Key
Go down the staircase at the back of the diner so you enter a big room. You will find the roof key inside a small drawer in front of the window.
Library
- Note
Enter the room called 'quiet study'. To the right are 3 large paintings, interact with the middle one of the woman to spawn a note on the red door.
- Candles
Find the staircase at the far end of the hall that leads to Annika and search for the candles. Activate the candles labelled '1' and '3'.
Police Station
- Car Key
Interact with the cop in front of Captain C. Matthews door to find a car key.
- Valves
To solve the valve puzzle you must activate from left to right valves 4 then valve 2.
- Cell Key
To find the cell key you need to open the 8th locker on your left (3rd furthest from the Sheriff).
- 1st Clue
Enter the portal in the cells. The first clue is in the middle drawer behind the stacked furniture.
- 2nd Clue
The second clue is inside the 9th locker on the right.
- Matches and Car Keys
The reception area of the police station. In one of the top left lockers.
Post Office
- Post Office Key
Enter the Post Office and go through the door at the back. Go left and enter the first door directly in front of you. The key is on the back center desk.
- Reach the Locker Room
You need to enter every door labelled '13' until you end up in the locker room. There is nothing in the lockers.
Desmond's House
- Pedastals with Candles
There are 3 pedestals with candles on them. The amount of candles will tell you how many lion statues you need to place on them (1, 2, and 3 for a total of 6 statues).
Supermarket
- Escape Door
To escape the hall of The Shining you must open the second door on your left when you reach the end of the hall.
The Accident
- Fire Station Door
If you go through the front door of the fire station you will die. Instead head to the left-most garage exit and stand near the first red light. Wait for them both to turn on, then sprint to the end of the room. To your left will be a door to go in.
- Fire Station Key
The key can be found by heading up the left-most staircase to the second floor and locating the green door that opens to the locker room. In the 7th locker on the left will be the key.
- Valve
While in the dream phase go to the last room on the left and search the middle locker to find the valve.
- 1st Clue
Upstairs in the fire station enter the first door in front of you, loop behind the desk, and open the top drawer to find the first clue.
- Activate the Plate
Use the first barrel to progress, place the second barrel on the top right stone slab, and the third barrel on the bottom left slab. Hit the button and all 4 lights will turn green.
- 2nd Clue
You need to change the numbers on the signs to match how many edges are on the shapes in the floor. The diamond / square is 4, hexagon is 6, and triangle is 3. Across from the diamond is the second clue.
Sawmill
- Sawmill Key
Enter the first open door to your right at the sawmil. You will find the key in the back room.
Church
- Floating Tools
Activate the floating tools in the following order: bow / fishing rod / spade / trowel / pitchfork.
- Tiles
Activate the following tiles: trees / young boy playing the flute / man carrying rock.
- Candle and Painting Puzzle
You can read the paintings to figure out which is which. Activate the candles in this order: summer / autumn / spring / winter.
- Hidden Staircase
Go behind the altar to find a hidden staircase.
- Pressure Plate Puzzle
Place boxes on the right, top, and left plates.
- Secret Passage Switch
Move the stack of boxes on the table to find the switch that will open the secret passage.
Annika's House
- Medallion Puzzle
Plug the medallion into the slot, then turn the symbol for Brimstone (phallic looking symbol) twice. Turn the symbol for Platinum (crescent moon attached to a circle) once, finally turn the symbol for Amalgamation (fish bone looking symbol) 3 times.
