This Is Football 2004 is another football game series added to the PS2 platform. Many new features and a big season mode can fill hours of fun if you are a true football fan. Nice options to choose from and can have plently of fun when your playing on the multiplayer mode.
The graphics on the game are quite moderate and are fair. The textures of the players arent really good and arent the quality of the FIFA graphics. The pitches look nice and some stadiums have a nice feel when playing on them. Graphics wise for the enviroment are nice but not the best, The crowd models are nice when faceup.
The score isnt really great on the game but when the crowd scream for the goal it makes a nice noise and feels realistic. Hearing the chants of the crowd are nice and the crowd cheering or booing makes that added bit of more realism into the game. You don't hear the players say much do but when your playing schoolboy football the players make a nice chit chat noise when helping each other out.
Gameplay is fair in the game but it dosnt have the best quality of style as Pro Evo or FIFA Games. The controlling buttons are easy to use as always. When controlling the ball with a player can be quite tricky. The pace is very slow in the game and so is the passing and crossing. Shooting in the game isnt very good and most goals are so easy to score. Free kicks are quite poor because 8/10 shots you will probably goal a goal.
Starting a season as a schoolboy is fun but takes a very long time and you can get bored of the game quite quickly. Unlocking the unlockables with your cash which you have achieved takes time but is always a good challenge. Hard mode is the best challenge as the computer picks up a really tough fight.
A fair score I would give due to that the gameplay can become quite tricky. The gameplay is more slower and isnt as quick as other games such as FIFA. A season mode is always recommended as you can unlock some nice prizes to use in exhibition mode. A game I would recommend to first play before buy.
