Just like with the giant crab previously, keep the backpack open, start with an above-max amount of energy (over-eat a high-value food while being only a little bit lower than max), then make sure you have plenty of arrows (I used 16 with an upgraded bow) and some energy available in foods. Keep still and constantly fire, only pause to eat when health goes below 50% or 25%, then go back to shooting arrows asap.
