Save your Boost for Combat

Resist the temptation of using your boost gauge to fly faster between waypoints and missions. It is not necessary to use boost and you will need to conserve as much of it as possible for combat. If you find yourself struggling to fill up your boost gauge before combat there are a couple of things you can do that will resolve the issue. The first is to simply let your bird be idle, after several seconds the bird will glide naturally and your boost meter will begin to refill. The other way to build up your boost meter is through updrafts which will require you paying attention to the weather on the map. Updrafts provide boost in and out of combat.
