Gameplay Walkthrough for The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story
Use the walkthrough video below as a guide when you find yourself struggling to find clues that will help you solve the mystery of the four murders. Be aware that the video contains spoilers.
Choices Don't Matter
Don't worry about making the correct choices during the Incident Phase as these are purely to see what sort of slightly different dialogue you will get. The choices that matter will be the deduction and problem-solving that you go through while trying to identify the killer. You will always have all the clues available when it's time to solve the crime regardless of whether you interacted with it.
Rewind or Fast Forward
Don't forget that you have the option to rewind or fast-forward. Take advantage of the rewind ability whenever you believe you have missed something. Keep in mind you will not be able to fast-forward through anything that you have not seen yet.
Match Patterns to Pair Clues
Always look to match up patterns in order to pair up clues and create a hypothesis. When you manage to do this you will open up a reasoning tile which will enable you to come to a conclusion.
Pay Attention
It is important that you pay attention when investigating regardless if you have all the clues or not during the Reasoning Phase. You will not be able to guess your way into making a hypothesis, you will need to have background content about what happened.
Don't Make Mistakes
When identifying the killer it is important that you don't make any mistakes as doing so will cause your score to be marked down. Think everything through carefully to eliminate making an error and refrain from having to redo parts of the investigation.
