Teppen Cheats and Tips

Android, iPhone/iPad
Last Updated: by Dennis

Teppen is a free-to-play collectible card game for iOS and Android devices. It features characters from several Capcom franchises such as Mega Man X, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter and Darkstalkers. The 8 playable characters are Rathalos, Nergigante, Dante, Morrigan, Chun-Li, Ryu, Albert Wesker, and X. The objective of Teppen is to build decks of virtual cards and battle in story-based missions as well as player versus player matches.

Cheats, Tips and Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you build a great deck. These include how to defeat enemies and using your hero's signature move.

Deck Building

Once you have chosen a hero you need to build a deck out of Action (spells) and Unit (character) cards and then battle enemy players and AI using powerful abilities that you can summon by spending AP. When putting together a deck it is advised that you stick to a single element (Red, Green, Purple and Black) which should be the same as your hero. You will find that having multipe elements in your deck will give you less options in battle.

Card Ratios

A complete deck comprises of 30 cards and you can only have a maximum of 3 of any single card type. Your deck will need to have Action and Unit cards, the amount of each you hold will depend on your strategy but a good ratio is about 10 Action cards to 20 Unit cards. You will also need to have a few cards that you will be able to summon into battle which have minimal AP and some low-cost Unit cards. After that you can fill the remaining places in your deck with 5+ summon cost Unit cards.

Get More Cards

There are several ways that you can get more cards, these include completing the various Stories Chronicles, Daily Missions and Achievements. When you have reached rank D you will be able to compete in the Grand Prix which will give you the opportunity to earn more rewards which will include cards.

Craft Cards

To craft the cards you need to finish a deck requires Souls. These are earned by destroying the cards you have in excess. There is no benefit in having cards you cannot use or more than 3 copies of the same card. Go to the 'Cards' screen to reap these cards to get the Souls for the card you need. You will be able to reap any card that isn't part of the Basic set. The number of Souls required to craft each type of card is listed below

Legendary

Crafting Cost: 3200 Souls

Reaping Amount: +800

Epic or Rare Golden

Reaping Amount: +200 Souls

Unlock Heroes

When you play Teppen you should first focus on unlocking all the heroes as this will enable you to become familiar with each of their signature moves and how they play. It will also allow you pick the hero best suited to your play style.

Defeating Enemies

In Teppen you play a Unit card on one of three different lanes where it will proceed to charge up and unleash an attack at the opposing card in the same lane. If there is no card in the lane you will directly attack your opponent's hero. If you successfully defeat an enemy card it will be removed from the board and you will win the match if you defeat the enemy hero.

MP Advantage

In Teppen MP is the main resource needed to summon Unit cards or use Action cards. If you have an MP advantage, which basically means you have more MP to spend than your opponent you will reach a point where you will be able to attack them without fear of a counterattack. The easiest way to get MP advantage is to counter cards that your opponent uses with cards of your own that cost less MP.

Use your Signature Move

Each of the 8 heroes has their own unique signature move, this is a powerful game changing move which ranges from dealing heavy damage to Units to buffing allies. It requires AP to use (AP which stands for 'Árts Points') and 1 point is earned for each MP you use to play Unit or Action Cards. Make sure you use your signature move immediately it is fully charged otherwise you will waste the AP you gain from using any cards while it is fully charged.

Practice

You may want to consider going to the practice space once you have collected enough cards to start building different decks and battle against the AI to see if you can develop something that works well for your play style.
