Last Updated:

The most important aspect to temple run 2 are the Coins. These refill your Shield Meter and add to your Score. You can view your current Coin count just below your score. You will never go too far without finding Coins to collect, and they are frequently placed in tempting locations near obstacles and drops. It's up to you whether you risk your entire run to get them. You will have to move to one of the three lanes, the right, middle or left, in order to be in the right position to collect.

Purchasing Coins:

We have described above how exactly you collect Coins, and what they are used for. You can also purchase Coins, however, directly through the game. This can give you a much-needed boost early on to afford some of the items and equipment on offer, though most players will prefer to unlock such items through general play, which is entirely possible. You can see the cost of buying Coin packs with real money, below:

5,002 Coins - $0.99

50,000 Coins - $4.99

150,000 Coins - $9.99

400,000 Coins - $19.99

Coin Doubler (doubles the number of Coins you collect) - $4.99

I was playing Temple Run 2 on my i-pad, and whenever I went to another app, all of my coins went away! Why does I do this? Is this normal?
Thanks!
