Tekken: Dark Resurrection is pretty much a port of the game "Tekken 5" for the PS2. A few additions and changes have been made though. 2 new characters have been added: Lili, daughter of wealthy Oil tycoon, and Dragnov, some Russian soilder. (scary one, he is) Another character has made a return, Armor King. (although whether this is the original AK or his succsesor is disputed) All the stages has been changed, some for better or worse, and the music for each has changed. Then another for better or for worst, the characters outfits have changed colors.
The graphics, since on a PSP, has been lowered a bit, although the ending movies have not changed a bit, and stick to their original form. Another change, has been the addition of many customazation options. Auras (although there annoying) have been added, and most fighters have had there customazation list have doubled, and Mokojin is now customable.
Voicing in the game is pretty good. Battle sounds are pretty good too. The music is average although, some songs a pretty annoying, yet some like "Snow Castle" (Devil Jin's Stage) have pretty good quality.
But Devil Jin's laugh, is not anything good.
Here's the long part. If you've played Tekken before you know it's a great fighter game, one of the bests along with Street fighter and Mortal Kombat. A few new game modes have been added: Tekken Dojo - you basically fight in Tournments and become the best in many dojos across an Island. Tekken Bowl - If you played Tekken Tag, you'll know. It's exactly what you think. Command Attack - Do random moves in a certain time.
It'll last long, since all the game modes in it. Plus, Online Ranking tournaments, where you submit you're high scores to the entire world to win Prize money. Plus if one of your friends has the game, you can play, or you can gameshare with anyone who doesn't have the game.
Overall Tekken DR is a great game. It has been out for about a year, so it isn't that expensive, and it is one of the best fighters portable so far (don't worry, it's better the Tekken Advance) so if you have an oppurtunity to get this game, you should take it.
