Sonic Mania Plus Switch Cheats and Tips

Enter the following codes in the Level Select menu via playing sounds in the sound select to unlock the corresponding effect. If you enter the code correctly you will hear a confirmation code.

ALL Emeralds:

Enter 04 01 02 06

Changes ALL Animals into Squirrels:

Enter 01 09 07 09 00 08 01 01

Disable Super Music:

Enter 06 02 01 04

Egg Reverie Flying in any Levels as Super:

Enter 02 00 01 07 00 08 01 05

Infinite Continues:

Enter 01 09 09 02 01 01 02 04

Load Encore Stages and Gimmick in Place of Normal Ones:

Max Control for Sonic (Dropdash, Super Peel Out, Insta-Shield):

If you leave the game idle and let the intro cutscene play through once you will discover when the cutscene plays for a second time you will hear an alternate song.

Collect ALL 7 Chaos Emeralds with Sonic before completing Titanic Monarch - Act 2. After defeating the normal Boss of Titanic Monarch - Act 2, Sonic will be teleported to the true final Boss. Defeat that Boss to view the 'True' ending.

When you collect ALL 32 gold medals from the Blue Sphere Bonus Stages in Mania mode the Pinball Bonus Stage from Encore mode will replace the Blue Sphere Stages once you reach a checkpoint with at least 20 rings.

Super Sonic becomes a playable character when you have collected ALL 7 Chaos Emerald in the special stages.

The following bonuses are unlocked when you earn the indicated number of medals by completing Blue Spheres special stages.

Super Peel Out:

Collect 1 medal.

Insta-Shield:

Collect 6 medals.

&Knuckles Mode:

Collect 11 medals.

D.A. Garden:

26 medals.

Debug Mode:

Collect 16 medals.

Mean Bean:

Collect 21 medals.

Blue Spheres (Play ALL 51 Blue Sphere Stages):

Collect 32 medals.

At soon as Sonic appears on the 'Title' screen enter the code Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up. If you have entered the code correctly you will hear a chime as confirmation.

Stand next to the first ink container you see when you enter Press Garden Zone - Act 1. Then perform a spindash to kill the Badnik that spawns from it. Stop the spindash, let another Badnik come out, then kill it with the spindash. Keep repeating this process to keep having the points stack up to give you free lives. Note: You cannot hold the spindash down, you must release it in-between for another Badnik to spawn. Alternatively, you can use Super Sonic to stand there and do the same.

Enter the 'Cheat Mode' code. Then at the 'Level Select' screen choose the final Boss option and play as Knuckles. When you defeat the true final Boss as Knuckles you will be able to view the secret hidden ending. There will be a picture of Knuckles reading a book called 'Sonic Mania & Knuckles' to the animals, with Sonic and Tails in the background. Alternatively, play &Knuckles mode with Knuckles.

Follow the path shown in the video below access ALL the Special Stages. The video will also show you how you can clear ALL 7 first time in a row to get Super Sonic before the end of Chemical Plant Zone Act 1.
