Are there collectibles that you might miss?

Even though there are a lot of puzzles that you'll have to go through, there will be items that can be collected as well through the different levels in the game. The items that you can collect are also part of the achievements in the game. There are 27 total achievements, and 6 of them are related to collectibles.

With this in mind, there's indeed collectibles that you might miss out on. You need to keep an eye for the following: Blueprints, Chess pieces, Constellations, Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, and sodas. Thankfully, you can replay levels just in case you missed any of those items.

What do I need to do for the Vaguely Activated Achievement?

Some things in the game require you to do weird things in order to unlock achievements, but this one is actually quite tricky as the name of the achievement implies. In level 1, you should be able to find a room with a table on it that has a lamp and chess pieces. There isn't any puzzle to solve here, but you need to do a trick to get the achievement.

Before heading to the next room, pick up a chess piece and simply hold it for 2 to 3 minutes. Avoid moving at all when doing this, and make sure that you don't switch windows or alt-tab in the game. You need to hold the piece undisturbed until you're able to get the achievement.

Make sure to check all walls, corridors, and small gaps

There are blueprints that you can collect in a lot of different places. They can be hidden behind a wooden backdrop for example, and you might see a small gap where you can squeeze through so you can look behind the object.

Some corridors in the game as well can have different pictures on the wall, and blueprints can be among them so try not to run too quickly when passing through such areas. Checking each wall before you leave a level will help you with your collection. Things can also be hidden on top of things that you don't see in plain sight, requiring you to make platforms to reach it.

How can I collect fire extinguishers properly?

One of the collectible items in Superliminal are fire extinguishers. You'll notice that other collectibles such as fire alarms need to be clicked once only. However, fire extinguishers on the other hand are different once you interact with them. All of them are full, clicking them once gives a collectible, but there's another achievement related to this.

Once you see an extinguisher, click it until it's empty. This should be empty by the time you have four clicks in total, so make sure you don't miss any when you see one. There may be cases where you don't interact with it enough therefore you might miss the collectible and achievement requirement.

How can you increase the size of items?

You'll be able to find items in the game that you can interact with by holding them. There's not much explanation on what you can do in order to solve puzzles. Some items in the game such as wooden planks for example, can be used as platforms in order to reach places that are not easily accessible.

You might wonder however, what you can do with wooden planks that are small? In Superliminal, you have the power to increase the size of items that you have. Hold an item straight up, drop it, and then grab it. Doing this repeatedly will increase the size of the item that you're holding.

When checking constellations, make sure to wait

Constellations are found in different rooms of the game, and your goal is to change the orientation in order for an object to appear. Not only will you need to see the object, but you'll also have to give it some time.

In order to clear this, click the image that you see and then you will need to wait for the item to turn black before it will be counted. Leaving constellation rooms too quickly can affect your collections. If the constellation doesn't become black, you'll miss out on possible achievements as well so don't rush during constellation areas in the game.

Make items larger while standing on them

There may be instances where you will need to reach something that is above you. It's possible to make items larger, but what if it's too large already and you can't climb it up? If an object is interactable and you can stand on top of it, you can still increase its size so you can reach higher places.

While standing on an interactable object, try to jump quickly before grabbing and dropping the item. Doing the jump, grab, and drop in succession will let you increase the size of items below you, so you'll slowly be elevated to a place above you that you can't reach. This is useful for different areas in the game that need some height.

Interact with Exit Signs

There will be times where you'll go through different doors that have some exit signs above them. You can actually interact with this item and pull it from the wall and take it with you. Sometimes you'll reach an area with a huge hole on the ground that you'll need to cross, so the exit sign will come in handy here.

Increase the size of the exit sign and you'll be able to use it as a makeshift bridge. There will be times in the game where bridge making is needed with objects since the gape is quite big for your regular jumps. Try out different items as well aside from exit signs since there can be multiple ways to solve a problem.

How can I get the Son of Man achievement?

When you reach level 5 in the game, you'll find yourself in a room that has a cloning apple. The apple is on top of a green platform, and you need to do a specific task in order to unlock this achievement. Instead of cloning the apple, simply pick it up and then look above with the apple.

With the apple right above you, simply let it go so it will hit your head. Doing this will let you get the Son of Man achievement where it says "An Apple for a Head".
