Introduction

The introduction into the game was good. It got better throughout the game, as you experience Tequila's flash backs. This gives a better understanding to why he is acting the way he is and why he is a savage cop. The game eases you into combat and standoffs before throwing you into the deep end. It was good to see no training routine so it leaves it up to the experienced gamer to find out the controlls.

Graphics

The graphics in Stranglehold are pretty good. The completely destructive environment is new, and fantastic. It adds something new (graphic wise) to the normal and predictable first person shooters. The characters in the game play and in game movie were up to scratch but nothing new. Was good to see no glitches with the graphics so far.

Sound

As the game is based on a cop taking down a major gang in Asia, it was predicted to have an Asian side to the sound. The music and background sounds were good however during the game as you near a enemy or major point in the stage the music would change and the intensity would pick up. Personally I'm over that in games, it just removes the suprise factor as you can expect something to happen.

Gameplay

Tequila Bombs in the game were awsome to use. In moments of stress it was helpfull to have a barrage or spin attack handy to take out all opposing threats. Also with Tequila's fast reaction time, gameplay slows down allowing you to dodge bullets and place the perfect shot. This was too much like the Matrix and felt abit cheated. That style of gameplay should be left alone as it's too distinguished. I clocked the game in one day so perhaps it's too short but always harder levels to play on.

Lastability

I don't believe this game will last long. However if multiplayer online were to pick up then this game will definitly have some potential. At the moment I would recommend hiring it out first, and clocking it, then making your own decision on the lastablitiy the multiplayer has to offer.

Overall

Overall I believe this game is for some good short term entertainment that provides a new level of gameplay. The fully destructive environment and Tequila Bombs are probably the best and only good part of the game. For that factor I would play it just to experience them.
