This game was part of a series of games staged in the New Jedi Order era of the Star Wars saga-You were a new Jedi apprentice on your way to the training Temple when your vessel was shot down by unknown forces. From then on, you travel throughout the galaxy to find the attackers of your ship-and the temple-and bring them to justice.
During this mission, a much deeper, more sinister plot is revealed!
I hope you enjoy my review of Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
Well, for it's time, the graphics were good, but nowadays, the graphics AREN'T so good. It is grainy and has it's moments of shakiness where it just plain bugs out.
But the fact remains-just because the graphics aren't the best doesn't mean it is a bad game. Despite the not-so-good graphics, this game still has a lot to offer!
Overall, I give the graphics a six out of ten.
The sound was..."meh" at best. Wasn't fantastic, wasn't horrible. They recycled and used a lot of the old Star Wars sounds from the original trilogy: While not surprising, it does kind of take away from the newness of the era the game takes place in.
The blaster and lightsaber noises were not spectacular, but overall, the background music for the whole game was okay. Wasn't too immersive, but brought you in to a certain degree.
Overall, I have to give the sound a six out of ten just because it disappoints me and pales in comparison to the music of other popular Star Wars games, such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
The gameplay was average. It was a mission format, with the missions starting out easy and progressively getting harder and harder as your progressed through the story.
There were several moments in the game that made you jump, and really enjoy it-especially the level on a desert planet where you have to escape a gigantic sand worm trying to eat you!
But sadly, those moments were few and far between, earning it a meager seven out of ten for gameplay.
This game barely exists anymore. Honestly, out of everyone I know, nobody plays it anymore, and neither do I.
This game has been surpassed a hundred times over by other Star Wars games, and so has it's whole series. It wasn't very lastable when it came out either, with no multiplayer or replay value.
Overall, it earns a worthless four out of ten.
A very, very, very average game. It was certainly nothing special, and didn't keep me involved for long at all. With tedious gameplay and a story that had no real point to me, I have to say it earns a below average five out of ten.
I wouldn't play this again, but I'm not saying you shouldn't try it.
I hope you liked my review on Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy!
