Take Advantage of Fast Travel to get Collectibles

If you are going to ignore the side quests and just focus on playing the main story you will not have a need to backtrack. If you are a player that wants to gather all the collectibles you should take advantage of fast travel in order to return to previously played part of the game to retrieve them. At the 'Pause' menu you will be able to select any map you have already been to and the section you want to go back to.

Look Out for Side Quests

The Jump Button is Sensitive

There is a regular jump as well as a typical double jump, there is also the ability to make SpongeBob hover by holding down the jump button. Be weary of the fact that the jumping button is sensitive and leaving your thumb on it after performing a jump will trigger the hover ability which can sometimes stop your momentum.
