Learn how to Squid Roll

The Squid Roll is one of the new movement mechanics in Splatoon 3 and is activated by quickly flicking the Left Stick in the opposite direction of where you are moving while in Swim Form and pressing the B button on your controller. When you Squid Roll you will also receive a brief period of invulnerability which comes in useful for escaping enemy fire.

Avoid Enemy Ink

Although swimming in your team's ink will enhances your mobility options considerably it is important to remember that if you try moving or swimming around in enemy ink it will slow you down and make you vulnerable to enemy attacks. One trick you can employ if you have enough ink is to throw a bomb in front of you, so you can to make a quick dash through enemy turf.

Try Out New Weapons

Two new weapon classes have been added to Splatoon 3, the Stringers and the Splatanas. The Tri-Stringer which is the Stringer class weapon is a bow that can shoot multiple ink projectiles vertically or horizontally while the Splatana Wiper which is the Splatana class weapon is a katana-like melee weapon that can splat enemies up close or deal plenty of damage from afar via its charging attack.
