Oh crap. Not another Sonic game. They havn't had a good 3-D Sonic game since... Uh... Ever. Yeah. Ever. You just don't feel like you go fast anymore. But Maybe this one won't suck as bad as that other Sonic game that just came out. Or, ya know, it probably will. Let's just say I'm not getting my hopes up.
The graphics are great, not spectacular. There are two whole cutscenes in this game that are actually cutscenes. All the other cutscenes are either ingame or 2-dimensional. The developers SAY that they wanted it to look more like a book. I'm thinkin more along the lines of really, really , REALLY low animation budget. So the graphics in game are pretty, capturing whatever theme it was trying to pull off, but in some spots, the game just looks dull and unappealing.
If only my tv remote talked to me too. Okay so onto sound. The music is pretty and it goes with the style of the game. The sounds that come from the Wii remote are short and they work with the capabilities of the speaker. This game has very good voice overs and the voices are done very well.
This is the single lowest score I have ever given anything ever. The controls are VERY bad. And I mean absoloutely HORRIBLE. They are clunky, Hard to manage and even have an occasional lag, leading to an untimely death on the same jump over and over and over again. Let's look at the bad part now. Hi everybody! Welcome to Mario Party: Crap Edition! They Even got an annoying host! These minigames seriously made me consider suicide. WHAT THE @!$# WAS SEGA THINKING! THESE MINIGAMES ARE THE KIND OF *&^% YOU THROW IN TO TORTURE THE GAMERS! I HATE YOU SEGA!
The game is fairly Short. I'm talking ten hours tops. But once you beat the game, if you want to go back and beat every single mission, that should probably keep you occupied for maybe another five or six hours. The problem is, all of the missions are really short, and the bosses are not hard at all. I would'nt think this game could hold your attention for more than three weeks.
This game has a good premise, but it just doesn't feel good or play well or whatever you want to call it. THIS GAME SUCKS. SEGA SUCKS. Period. That's all I have to say.
Except I have to type at least two hundred fifty characters so I'll keep going. This game sorta restores the feeling of going fast in Sonic games. Almost. It trys hard but in the end, Sonic disapoints. Again.
