You will be able to save your progress during a mission in Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 by proceeding to the green point. Once at these saving points your progress will be automatically retained.

The game has autosave functionality, where it will save your game throughout (noted by a red spinning triangle on the right side of your screen). Do not shut down (obviously) during these saves as it can corrupt your game files.
