Listed below are the different types of weapons that you can get in the game and a brief description of their advantages and disadvantages.
Primary Weapons
These are your main weapons which you will use more than any other and ammunition for them is plentiful. These weapons fall into three different types and they are set on autofire.
Shotgun
Shotguns are lethal close range weapons that will inflict a big chunk of damage out of your foes in a single shot. Their disadvantage is they are slow to reload and have a limited range.
Auto-Rifle
Auto-rifles are accurate fast firing mid-range weapons that hold a large magazine. Their biggest disadvantage is that they are slow to reload.
SMG
Although the SMG is inaccurate and not as versatile as the auto-rifle it is ideal for the pepper-pot technique of making sure you leave everything in a level with at least one hole in it. The disadvantage with the SMG it that it has a reload time which is longer than the shotgun and balance problems which give it a limited range.
Secondary Weapons
There are also three different types of secondary weapons. Unlike the primary weapons they are not set to autofire so you will have to manually turn it on when you switch to these weapons.
Rocket Launcher
This bulky weapon is capable of doing massive damage. The big disadvantage with the rocket launcher is its very slow loading time.
Sniper Rifle
The sniper rifle is a long range weapon that allows you to take out foes from a long way away. Although it does not do much damage it is particularly useful for scoring headshots.
Machine Gun
The machine gun is a mid-to-close range weapon. Although it doesn't have the range of the sniper rifle it does offer more bullets. The disadvantage with the machine gun is that it has a slow reload time.
Third Weapon
Pistol
The pistol is a weapon of last resort. It has infinite ammo, but the damage it does is minuscule compared to other weapons.
