Sea of Solitude Cheats and Tips

Sea of Solitude is an adventure game where you play the role of a young woman named Kay who suffers from such strong loneliness that her inner feelings of hopelessness, anger and worthlessness turn to the outside and she becomes a monster. Meet fantastical creatures, learn their stories, and solve challenges. Explore a flooded city, either by boat, on foot, or by swimming through the water itself. How to get the Mermaid Achievement/Trophy

To get the Mermaid achievement/trophy you must swim a very long distance. The easiest areas to do this are those that are free of the Whale as it means you do not have worry about being eaten by it. Two spots such spots you can use to unlock the achievement/trophy are:

Chapter 4 (Hiding)
Once you are aboard the boat from the end of chapter 3 you can leave it and swim around as the daylight is not restricted to it. You just need to make sure you don't get too close to Sunny.

Chapter 11 (Solitude)
You need to have finished the game for this area. As the chapter is loading head back to the cliff and jump into the water and just swim in circles around the island until the achievement/trophy unlocks.

How to get the Danger Swimmer Achievement/Trophy

To get the secret Danger Swimmer achievement/trophy you must swim for a long distance while the whale is nearby. This achievement/trophy is cumulative and can be easily obtained in Chapter 2 (Dangerous Waters) by turning and swimming in a circle in the space between the buildings. The whale will not be able to get to you as the area is enclosed, simply keep swimming there until the achievement/trophy unlocks.

How to get the Bottled Achievement/Trophy

To get the Bottled achievement/trophy you must collect all the bottles. In total there are 39 hidden bottles in Sea of Solitude and they tend to be found inside buildings and on secret roof areas. If you miss a bottle along the way, you can use the Chapter Select feature to go back to a specific area where you know where it is to collect it. The video below will show you the location of each of the 39 bottles you need to find to unlock the achievement/trophy.

How to get the Deep Dive Achievement/Trophy

To get the secret Deep Dive achievement/trophy you need to jump headfirst into the water from a high point and hit the water. You will be able to do this by loading Chapter 6 - Part 1 (Hurt the Depths) and climbing to the top of the skyscraper. In order for the achievement/trophy to unlock you must jump of the fan ledge and touch the surface of the water with your dive. If you jump from too high up the tower you will teleport back before hitting the water. Do not let the fans push you of the ledge and to jump down headfirst simply press and hold the X button on your PlayStation controller (A button on Xbox) while mid-air.

How to get the Flock of Seagulls Achievement/Trophy

To get the Flock of Seagulls achievement/trophy you must shooed all the Seagulls. In total there are 32 seagulls you that need to be shooed and they tend to found perched on window sills, roofs, and railings. If you miss a seagull along the way, you can use the Chapter Select feature to go back to a specific area where you know where it is. The video below will show you the location of each of the 32 seagulls that need to be shooed in order to unlock the achievement/trophy.
