It is crucial in Rust that you prioritize crafting a Sleeping Bag when you start the game as this item can be placed on the ground to create a custom respawn spot. Crafting a Sleeping Bag will save you the frustration of respawning at the default spawn location which is the beach and having to traverse the ground you have already covered to reach the place where you died.

In order to craft a Sleeping Bag you will need to acquire 30 Cloth which can be gathered from hemp plants in stacks of 10. This means you will need 3 plants. Make sure once you have crafted your Sleeping Bag you place it in a secure spot as it can still be destroyed by other players. It takes 25 hits to destroy the bed with a Hatchet.
