Settings
Note: Depending on what device you are using some of the settings below may not apply.
1) Frame Rate
Regardless of console make sure you are playing the game at 60 FPS. The higher the frame rate the more of an advantage you will have.
2) Verticle Sync
Switch on vertical sync to prevent screen tearing.
3) Weather Effects
Switch off 'Weather Effects'. This will eliminate the rain from all of your maps.
4) Motion Blur and Camera Shake
Switch off 'Motion Blur' and 'Camera Shake' to give your game more clarity.
5) Camera FOV
Increase the 'Camera FOV' to 110 degrees to open your playing field and see a lot more information.
6) Distance
Increase the 'Distance' to give yourself a wider view.
7) Boost
Move your boost button from Circle to Square or bumper. This will give you a slightly easier angle to hit the X button to jump and moving it to bumper gives you easy access to boost with both thumbs on the thumbsticks and X.
8) Air Roll and Power Slide
Move the Air Roll and Power Slide to L1. This will allow you to adjust the vehicle in the air and keep your thumb on the boost button. This will make it easier to Power Slide while boosting.
Vehicles
9) Vehicle Differences
The differences in the vehicles is their Power Sliding, Hit Boxes, and Turn Radius. Choose a vehicle that you feel comfortable with and suits your gameplay.
10) Items
Items make no difference in the game. They do not affect the Hit Box.
Gameplay
11) Training
Play Aerial Training until you can get at least a 5, a 9 or 10 on Goal Tending and a 7 or 8 on Striker Training.
12) Defense
Always remember that defense is more important than offense.
13) Cycling
An important tactic is cycling. You need to be able to cycle back quickly if necessary and play goal tender to cover a teammate if they fail to clear the ball.
14) Boost
Never pick boost over a save, having full boost does nothing if the opponent scores.
15) Goal
Stop the ball before it can get near to your goal. Use aerials above your goal and wall riding before your goal.
16) Campers
Campers will sit at the mid-field boost line and just wait for the ball to come to them. Don't just clear the ball away, dribble it to a corner boost and play it onto the wall and play it on your opponents side.
17) Boost Starving
Do not let opponents come in and take away your boosts, this is called boost starving.
18) Goal Tender
The player who should have the most boosts on your team is the goal tender.
19) Pinch Shot
If you do not have boost to clear the ball the Pinch Shot is an effective way of getting rid of it. The Pinch Shot is basically driving the ball straight against the wall.
20) Striking
Practice striking the ball so you know how to get good contact.
21) Power Shooting
The front of the ball is the most powerful shot of the ball, the sides of the ball are second and the roof of the ball is third. The wheels of your vehicle are the weakest point of your vehicle.
22) Possession
If you have a good cycling mentality you will be able to hang onto the ball longer which will make it easier to score.
23) Wall Ride
Learn how to wall ride the ball above the net and center it downwards.
24) Wall
Play the ball against the wall to get good centers and fake out the goal tender.
25) Aerials
There is no point going for an aerial if your opponent has already started the aerial process.
