Jailbreak tips
- Check the Map Before Starting Your Next Robbery
Keep an eye on the map to see which robberies are open before driving across the city. Flashing robbery icons mean another player is already robbing that location. Use this information to plan your next stop instead of wasting time travelling to a closed robbery. It can also help you avoid driving straight into a police ambush.
- Get Your Power Plant Loot to the Volcano Base Quickly
The Power Plant is one of the best robberies for making money, but you need to be quick. Before entering, park your getaway vehicle somewhere safe and lock it so another player cannot steal it. After solving the computer puzzle and collecting the uranium, get moving towards the Volcano Criminal Base. Your uranium loses $50 in value every second, so taking a long route will cost you money. Have your vehicle ready before starting the robbery.
- Pickpocket Police Officers to Get a Bank Keycard
You need a keycard to enter the Bank, so getting one before the robbery opens can save you time. Sneak up behind a police officer and hold E to try to pickpocket them. You might get a keycard, pistol or donut, so it isn't guaranteed. Be careful, though, because getting caught can land you back in prison.
- Work Together to Escape the Museum
You need another player to complete the Museum robbery. Once you have collected your loot, both players must stand at their own exit levers and pull them within a few seconds of each other to open the escape route. Make sure you agree who is taking each lever before reaching the exit. Once outside, get to your vehicles and head to the Volcano Criminal Base to collect your cash.
- Tase Criminals Before Trying to Arrest Them
Chasing criminals with your handcuffs out can make arrests difficult, especially if they are carrying weapons. Use your Taser to stun them first, then quickly switch to your handcuffs and move in for the arrest. A successful Taser hit gives you a much better chance of catching them before they can run away or fight back.

Play Third-Person View
Although Jailbreak plays perfectly fine in first-person view, you should consider changing your setting to third-person view. The reason for this is by zooming out you will be able to see all around yourself, which will make plenty of the situations you encounter in the game easier to handle and also help prevent nearby Police from sneaking up to you from behind.
To zoom in and out from first-person view to third-person view, you need to use the scroll button on your mouse. If you are not happy with the angle of the camera, you can always change it by right-clicking or middle-clicking the mouse button.

Buy a Jetpack for Easy Robberies
If you are a Criminal you will want to make money as easily as possible without too much of a risk of being arrested and sent back to prison. One way in which you will be able to do this is by saving up the cash you loot from robberies and using it to buy a jetpack. Although the jetpack is initially expensive, you will find that it is an investment as it makes it near impossible for you to get arrested by the Police as you use it to fly around the map robbing places.
How to get a Keycard
One of the best items you can obtain in Jailbreak is a keycard as it can be used to open locked doors, this if you are a Criminal obviously comes in useful when you want to rob a bank. Getting hold of a keycard is not easy, you can kill a Police officer who will occasionally (there is a 25% chance) drop a keycard along with their pistol when they die. If you do not want to kill a Police officer, you will be able to obtain a keycard by pickpocketing them for it by holding the 'E' button on your keyboard when you are standing right beside them. The only other way of getting hold of a keycard is to find one in a cargo plane crate.
Easy Escape from Prison
An easy way to get out of the prison at the start of the game is by pickpocketing a Police officer for his keycard. If there are not too many prisoners around, you shouldn't have too much difficulty doing this. Once you have the keycard you will be able to make an easy escape from the prison via the Visitors building as Police are less likely to be hanging around there.
Pick Up Airdrops
Make sure whenever you see an airdrop in the sky, you make your way towards it. Running after airdrops may seem inconvenient, but they are worth the trouble as they are a risk-free source of cash. To find where the airdrop is going to land you simply have to listen to the beeping sound that accompanies them as this will increase in volume the closer you get to the package. Although the amount of cash you can expect to get from an airdrop will be less than in robberies, it is still worthwhile picking up.
Go to the Criminal Base after your Prison Break
As soon as you break out of prison, your first priority is to find a car and race to the nearest criminal base which is the guns shop in town which you will be able to find between the river and the Glider Store, exiting the tunnel next to the Prison. It is the first building on the left, and has a shooting target on it. Police are searching for you everywhere, which will cause you all sorts of problems, so you need to make sure you load yourself with as many weapons as you can find before you leave the hideout.
Buy Engine Upgrades
When buying car upgrades, you need to resist spending your stolen money on cosmetic upgrades that aside from looking visually appealing do absolutely nothing for your gameplay. The Monster Truck for example may look great but if you instead spend your money on engine upgrades you will discover when you reach Level 5 your car will be faster than everyone else's in the game and that is something that you can use to your advantage when getting away from the Police after a heist.
