• Leave the Generator When the Killer Gets Close

Don't stay on a Generator when you know the killer is nearby. If you get hit, you are kicked out of the puzzle and lose the progress you made on it. Leave early, hide or run away, then come back when the killer has gone.

• You Don't Need to Fill Every Generator Square

When solving a Generator puzzle, connect each matching number or colour. You don't need to fill every square on the board. Plan your paths first so the wires don't cross and you don't have to start over.

• Don't Sprint While Solving a Generator

Be careful not to hold the sprint button while solving a Generator puzzle. Sprinting makes you leave the puzzle, so you can lose your current progress. Finish the puzzle first, then sprint away if the killer comes.

• Listen for the Killer's Chase Music

The chase music is a good warning that the killer is close. If you hear it while working on a Generator, stop and check where the killer is. Be ready to leave before they reach you.

• Spread Out When Working on Generators

You can have up to three survivors working on the same Generator, but you don't always want everyone together. Spread out when you can so the killer has to choose which Generator to attack. This also gives your team a better chance of making progress elsewhere.
