Your Boost Bar at the top of the screen fills up as you race. Skillful maneuvers will make your bar fill faster. There are two different types of boost, Pulse and Charge, each behave differently. Boosting increases grip and can be used to give better handling when turning. During the pre-race countdown you will be given the chance to buy boosts to give yourself an edge.
