Risk of Rain 2 Cheats and Tips

Don't Waste Time
Make sure you manage your time wisely in Risk of Rain 2 as the difficulty increases considerably as time progresses. In order to give yourself some quick currency to spend throughout the stage you can if it is possible activate the blood shrines or combat shrines at the beginning of stages instead of waiting for enemies to spawn.

Avoid Damage
The secret to staying alive in Risk of Rain 2 is to always be on the move by making good use of your ability to Sprint. Although there are items such as the Bustling Fungus which enable you to heal from damage it is is more beneficial to avoid damage in the first place. Items such as Paul's Goat Hoof which will increase your base speed by 14% per stack or Energy Drinks are useful items to have to ensure your safety as you strafe about. They become even more important the further your run goes on as enemies will be able to one-hit-kill you.



Collecting Items
Items in Risk of Rain 2 are special collectibles that spawn while playing the game. Some items need to be unlocked by completing a Challenge to appear in game. Items stack so you can pick up a supply of useful items ti increase their effect. Keep an eye out in particular for Bustling Fungus which creates a green bubble which heals you for 4.5% health every second after you have stood still for 2 or more seconds. Sticky Bombs which you can attach to an enemy on hit to deal 180% total damage, and Gasoline which when used will deal 0.25 times your characters's base damage per Tick, and ticks tick a second. Gasoline is effective for dealing with nearby enemies, using a stack of gasoline will increase the duration of the burn and the radius of the blast.

Kill Bosses Fast
If you attack a boss just as it comes out of the ground before it applies it's shield you will deal massive amounts of damage to it's normal health, killing it faster.

Gunner Turrets
Unlike Drones and Medkits the Gunner Turret does not follow you to other levels so make sure you do not pick these up unless you really need the extra damage for that stage.
