Retro Tower Defense Tips

• Upgrade Strong Towers First

Don't spend all your Tix placing lots of weak towers. Once you have enough towers to stop the early waves, use your money to upgrade your strongest damage towers. A few upgraded towers can be better than having lots of weak ones.

• Place Helper Bot Near Several Towers

Helper Bot can support nearby towers, so its position is important. Try to place it where its buff can reach several of your main damage towers. This lets you get more use from its support ability.

• Don't Use Tycoon Too Early

Tycoon helps you make more money, but don't place it before you have enough damage to stop the enemies. Build your defense first, then add Tycoon when you know your towers can handle the next waves.

• Use Rocket Against Groups

Rocket is useful when several enemies are close together. Its splash damage can hit groups of enemies and help your other towers deal with them. Upgrade Rocket when groups are starting to get through your defense.

• Learn the Map Before Playing Hard

Try Casual or Normal before moving to Hard. Look for places where your towers can attack enemies for a long time, such as areas where the path bends or gives towers a good view of the track. Good tower placement becomes more important on harder difficulties.
