As you explore the ruined Rommanian countryside in Resident Evil Village you need to keep an eye out for the useful items that are scattered everywhere as it is essential you find them in order to progress the story.

Whenever you enter a building for the first time it will appear on your map with a reddish tint. This indicates that there is something there you need to find, once you have found everything you need to find in that area it will turn the map blue. Make sure you open cabinets, look in drawers, check the counters, and even scour the ceilings for useful items. If you encounter something that is locked you need to make a note of it and come back later when you have what is needed to open it.
