Racing

You start the race in last place but with some smart maneuvering you will be able to jump up half way up the standings in the first couple of turns. Do not just follow the car in front of you and always look for the inside path of the turn.

Breaking Assist

To come away from races with lower completion times you will need to turn off the braking assist option or at least put it on low and do the breaking manually.

Corners

When you are familiar with a race circuit look to drive across corners so you flatten out a curve and maintain a steady speed. Do not let the gas fall down too much when you are about to cut a corner.

Cut Off Rivals

When you are in first place look to cut off racers that get too close to you by turning into their direction or bumping them off the track.

Taking Damage

Try to avoid contact with other racers and roadside obstacles whenever possible by not driving recklessly, the performance of your vehicle will dip noticeably if you take damage.

Damaged Cars

Some of the races you compete in it is not necessary for your vehicle to be at full strength. If you are low on cash and feel you have the skills to compete regardless you can risk using one fo your non-fully repaired cars.

Upgrades

It is important that you select the right upgrades for your vehicle to get the best results. Focus on upgrading your drivetrain before the engine so you get your 0-60 time down, this will allow you to get a fast start and pull away from corners quicker.

Starter Car

Select the Nissan Silvia as your starter car instead of the Ford Focus RS as it is able to accelerate faster and brake better. Make the next vehicle you purchase a car from the next tier and not the Ford Focus RS so you become eligible to compete in different types of races.

Every so often cars will go on sale with 20-50% off. Make sure you always have a decent amount of R$ in your account so you can take advantage of these offers.

McLaren MP4-12

Even if it means spending some gold it is worth getting the McLaren MP4-12 in your garage. This vehicle has some of the best stats in the game and will make you eligible you to participate in most of the racing circuit series that you normally wouldn’t have access to with your other vehicles.

Friends

Race against your friends via GameCenter and Facebook. As your friends race they will leave some ghost data for you to compete against and you will earn an extra 10% in bonus money for every friend that you beat.
