Usually, Rayman games are great, but this game by Ubisoft is the worst EVER! Here is why. The game is literally a rip off, and for the $36.00 I spent, Ubisoft just made one more person hate them. Screw Rayman 3D, if you like the series, just skip Rayman 3D, you are not missing anything.
The graphics get 2 out of 10 because they are TERRIBLE! It's like playing Mini Ninjas for the DS.The characters show no depth what so ever, the 3D graphics make it worse, you barely notice the 3D, when you are in battles the screen rate is slower than a 1980s computor compared to a Mac, and It is literally disgusting. The character models SUCK!!!
The sound is just as bad as the graphics. Its totally Mono based, and you can sometimes hear fuzzy sound emitting from the speakers. The characters don even talk, they just make muffled grunts when talking to eachother. Even if you use ear buds to straiten things out, it does absolutely NOTHING! The sound gets a score of 1 out of 10. Just turn off the volume, it's actually better that way.
The gameplay is decent enough to show pity for it with a score of 2 out of 10. Your only mode of attack is firing tiny lasers from Rayman's hand that take forever to hit your target. Rayman runs slower than a turtle, jumps glitchier than a ruined game, and carries items like he is hauling a 200 pound backpack. The controls are, well, ehhh...
The lastability gets a score of 2 out of 10 because it's not until 3 levels in before you get a hint of what the plot device is for the game. The levels are way too long and annoying for any gamer to sit through. I beat 4 levels before I lost all willingness to pick up my 3DS again. In fact, I still haven't picked it back up.
Over all, this game gets a pitiful 2 out of 10. Save your money, tomorrow I'm returning that game. Screw Rayman 3D. I'm never buying a Ubisoft game ever again! I'm suprised it was even aired for consumers. Ubisoft failed yet again, although, I have to say, I expected it giving the fact that most of it's titles were crummy. BOO Rayman 3D!
