you have to duel and then make them a good friend then they will ask to be youir partner

It's simple really, all you have to do is find the person you want as your partner(has to be a main charecter such as: Jaden,Chumley,Zane etc.) and duel them every day and give them sandwiches. Once you give them something or duel them, at the end of your talk with them you will hear a ding showing they liked you a bit more. Everyday you can earn one heart. A heart is displayed as the players affection towards you. You can see how much a player likes you by going onto your computer in your dorm and clicking DATABASE. Once 7 hearts are filled beside somebodys image the next time you see them they will ask to be your partner.
