After moving 3 boxes around the seesaw thing, doors open, having entered through the doors they automatically lock behind me and slice Lara to bits. I have no control over Lara. I have spent 4 hours exploring and still keep getting killed.

Remove the box from under the end of the see saw, then push one of the boxes on to the end of the see saw, the end nearest the way you came in. Then climb back up to the ledge where you jumped down from, walk up the centre part towards the other end of the see saw. With the box you put on one end, all you have to do is jump on the high end of the see saw and the box will be launched to the upper level
