Why is my saved to the point I already get my first car?

I was playing Fast and Furious in PPSSPP, after I saved my data (idk how to save my data) and leave the game, later, I came back and I found out that my progression is decreased. I did pick the one I saved before (it was 3%). But then the progression was reset to 0%. I don't know if this actually happened in the real PSP or the PPSSPP, but this happened. Don't bother saying "use save states", because I already used that method, I'm just afraid of accidentally hitting the Save State instead of the Load State button at the time I started the game.
