Question for Prince of Persia Rival Swords

This question pertains to the first. I'm at the first boss and I do like four speed kills and this dude's life isn't going down at all. I must be doing something wrong and I have no clue what it is

Okay, first you do the first two speed kills. Then you hack at his legs untill he falls down(careful, when hacking at his legs, he might kick at you. Also he is blind now that you've taken out both his eyes, so he won't turn around so you can't get him. And finally, don't let him squash you when he falls down). Then you will automatically go into a speed kill. Complete the speed kill(which is three stabs) and he will die.

The problem which I encountered was that I didn't do the speed kill properly.This speed kill has 3 phases.The first phase stabs him in the arm.You must then wait and not push any buttons until the game gives you the signal(slowdown and greying of screen) for the second phase.This will happen either when you climb to his shoulder and he tries to grab you or after he has grabbed you and you stab his hand.You must wait and not push buttons.If you push the buttons the sequence will be ruined.Similarly,after the 2nd phase you climb to his head.Again you must wait for the signal.Pushing the attack button will ruin the sequence.After you do it on both sides you have to slice his legs and when he falls you must again do the same and remember to wait for the signal before doing the attack.The last speed kill is a 3 phase attack like the previous two.
