Om my, read his question again. Only one got the correct answer. As king lexor said, YOU CANNOT GET YOUR CUSTOM PLAYER TO PLAY IN SEASON MODE.
If you are already familiarize all of 2ķ13 menu, options, and settings and his other features of the game: You'll be realized later that you can't bring your created player or even your save roster to the association mode. But I think it's so much better to play MyCareer mode or playing there old version of thegame.
Actually you can create players and add them to any MLB roster to be used during Franchise mode. However this must be done before you start a new game. Create as many players as you want in title screen. Also, if your goal is to play a season (in my case 2016) with updated team rosters, go through every teams roster (again from title screen, not actually in any of the game modes) and select and"move" players to their current team. Finally, begin a new season and select "use current roster." If you've done things as described al rosters should be correct INCLUDING all created players. After you start season, the only way to modify rosters further will be through trades or free agency. No newly created players can be added to a seasongame in progress.
You actually can create a player(s) and add them to any MLB roster. The key to doing this (For me I wanted to play a season with updated 2016 rosters, additionally I am a NY Mets fan) id to create players from title screen, not yet in any particular game mode and assign them to a team. Also, if you want to play with truly updated rosters (For example, Johnny Cueto is no with SF Giants) just go into GM modes "rosters" and bumper from team to team, select individual players and "move" them to the appropriate team. For me, I selected Cespedes from Tigers, Neil Walker from Pirates et.al and moved them to the Mets. Before you start a new franchise season, you can create and move as many players as you want without spending unavailable funds or violating salary cap. This process is incredibly time consuming and tedious. Also, once you start a new season in Franchise mode, no additional changes can be made except for trades and free agent signings. So, be complete and get it right. Once you are done, start a new season in Franchise mode and select "Use Current Roster(s). Believe it or not, a single save in Franchise Mode also assigns these newly created rosters to any new game in My Player Mode. Be warned, however, if you have completely juiced newly created players abilities it will be incredibly difficult to become your selected teams number one player in My Player Mode. Injuries and call ups will ruin the best laid plans. It was easy enough to move Michael Conforto to the triple A team (not the 51's, still the Zephyrs) but I hadn't created a Brandon Nimmo. Oh well. I hope this helps everyone, I can't believe Xbox hasn't produced a non-arcadish baseball game. I'm craving a good baseball game so much I'm seriously considering jumping ship to a PS 4.
