Guarding

I've noticed that Both Sasori and Kankuro can guard against enemy attacks with their puppets. So, the Question I'm asking is How exactly do you Guard against enemy attacks? I know that with Sasori and Kankuro, I just need to Hold down the R button and tap the 0 button to makes them use their puppets' as a shield against enemy attacks, But Can you guard with the other Characters as well? If "YES", How do you guard/Block?

Press R+the circle if theres not a scroll on th circle. Hope I help

I can't pull puppet by kankuro do I need any scroll
