Shen Gaoren can be a tough customer when you're a rookie but don't worry I have the answers you need. First off, your armor is okay but the skills on it arent all that useful in this situation, autotracker is useless considering that it's Gaoren and earplug is just as pointless. Quick eating on the other hand will at least let you swallow some potions more quickly if you get in a tight spot. Those skills are great for wyverns and hunting in areas where your prey may be hard to find but Gaoren is anything but hard to find and he never makes any loud noises. As for your weapon, I'm almost certain that it actually has a negative 25 percent affinity (-25) which isnt helping at all, that just means that your weapon, while powerful, is less likely to deal it's full damage. What you need is a weapon with a fire attribute because Gaoren is awfully weak to fire. Almost anything will do though if you're going it alone it may be a bad idea to use a bow. When I take him on I either use a long sword with a fire attribute or dual swords, also with a fire attribute. Now it's time to talk strategy! First off timing can mean the difference between failing and clearing. Time his steps and get back when the leg you're attacking is about to move to avoid the quake effect and thus rendering yourself a sitting duck for the next leg to crush. When you attack, always attack the same leg. When it turns red you've broken it and it's now weakened considerably and that means you can make him flinch and fall much more often when attacking that leg. Now for the money shot, when he falls down to the ground run straight up to his face and keep swinging until he gets up again. His face takes more damage than any other part of his body. There you go Warrior of Pokke! A winning strategy for the tremendous foe that is Shen Garoen. I remember fighting the G-rank one....geez, what a task!

The most easy way to do it is to use dual blades I done it with the dual blades made from tigrex I forgot name of it and with dual blades aim at one of the legs and it will start to go red and will make him fall then hit it in the face keep on doing that and you should win k -.-

bring all bombs u can bring especially bounce bomb , hit all his legs and also his claw and its shell so u can get all carves, when he gets staggered and down roll under his shell and triple pound it, before he gets near the tower use ur ballista and when his very near the tower use d dragonator it really helps... then go down again hit his legs again before the time is up use farcaster so u can make a quick access to d dragonator becoz it will work 10mins after d first use and then voila u killed the shen!! just use ur highest attack weapon, i always used my bone great axe hammer w/ 5�fin.
