Use the huntinhorn,great sword or dual blades,dont use bows or guns,a gunlance maybe,if you bring dualblades bring attack & defence up items
It's easier if you use traps and attack it while it stuck. I personally use longsword, hunting horns, and great swords because of the massive damage they can deal.
Use a Kut-ku Bow and scatter shot the crap out of it. Or rapid fire on it's face and back, both about 3 to 4 back hops away from it. I beat him by keeping distance and pounding him hard at every opening. If you need to, run to another area to heal. Just be sure to have paintballed him first though.
