help on Haunted Ruins.

I'm at the haunted ruins. Do I save the farmers to go on, or let them die?(Morbid I know but I don't know a faster way TO save them.) I know what do do after that, but I can't get past the haunted ruins. I need help. PLEASE help me..... PLEASE!!!

Yes save the farmers, gold in this game is as scarce as hen's teeth saving the farmers is worth 3 gold chests 100 GC each. BintangBuzz
